The Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) is pleased to announce the holding of a Second Petroleum Licensing Round, to be opened in Houston, Texas, USA in early 2008.

The Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) has signed exclusive mineral resource reconnaissance Technical Cooperation Agreement (TCA) with Excalibur Exploration Limited. Under the terms of the TCA Excalibur have committed to a 4 year work program to provide a technical appraisal of the mineral resource potential of the SADR. The work program is split into two phases each of 24 months.

(SPS) On 14 September 2006, the President of the SADR, HE Mohamed Abdelaziz received at the SADR presidency Mr. Frederik Dekker Director of Maghreb Exploration and Dr. Roger Norwich Director of Nighthawk Energy Limited.

Chahid El Hafed, 25/06/2006 (SPS) The President of the Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, received, on Saturday, a Director of the British oil company, “Comet Oil” who is undertaking a visit to the Saharawi Republic (SADR).

The SADR government welcomes the news regarding the recent decision by Kerr McGee to end its involvement in Western Sahara.

The SADR government strongly objected to Kerr McGees signature of a Reconnaissance Permit, which it signed with Morocco to explore for oil offshore Western Sahara, and repeatedly called for Kerr McGee to observe the principles of international law and UN legislation and to withdraw from its territory.
