SADR PMA STATEMENT REGARDING INCITEC PIVOT

The SADR Government warns against the criminal and civil legal risk faced by purchasers of Saharawi phosphate rock in a statement made today. Incitec Pivot Limited imported two shipments of phosphate mineral rock from occupied Western Sahara during 2013, valued at approximately $ AUS 12 million. Such shipments have been routinely protested by the SADR, and despite them, continue to arrive in Australia.

SADR STATEMENT REGARDING PETROLEUM ACTIVITIES

The Government of the Saharawi Arab Democratic has issued a statement concerning seabed petroleum exploration activities in occupied Western Sahara and in response to the February 2014 statement of Kosmos Energy Ltd.

SADR ADOPTS MINING LAW

Members of the Saharaw National Council (Parliament) adopted on 26 May 2014, the first Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) Mining Code.

SADR GOVERNMENT RESPONDS TO KOSMOS ACTIVITIES

The Government of the SADR today addressed the plans announced for petroleum exploration and development in the territorial waters of Western Sahara by the multinational companies Cairn Energy and Kosmos Energy. The companies particpate in a joint venture pursuant to licences granted illegally by Morocco’s state petroleum agency, the Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines (ONHYM).
